Vero Software, a world leader in computer aided design and manufacturing software (CAD/CAM) is now offering two new Apprenticeships to smart, bright, and motivated individuals who are looking for a fulfilling and rewarding role as a Technical Support Engineer. The apprenticeship will see the successful candidates working within the Technical Support group where they will learn key engineering and software skills.

LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES:
The Apprenticeships scheme includes a first year placement at college studying engineering foundation and ONC Engineering followed by 3 years on the job learning with 1 day per week college study for a HNC qualification. Candidates will experience a wide variety of skills including:-

• Use of CAD/CAM for engineering design and manufacture
• Understanding design principles of 2D and 3D geometry
• Providing technical assistance to software users
• Providing training to users in the application of the software products
• Configuration and installation of software
• Configuration and installation of PC’s
• Presentations of software capabilities to potential customers

QUALIFICATIONS:
All applicants are required to have a minimum of 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above, including Maths, Science and English. Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate an interest in engineering and software. You must have good written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable communicating with customers through email and telephone.
